Hey ya’ll! I have another feature for you! This blogger is an adorable young lady named Anna who lives in Nashville like me! She is a blogger and 4th grade teacher. I love how classic and elegant her blog is. I am sure you will enjoy it as well. Her blog is one I follow myself!

Tell us a little bit about yourself! I was born and raised in a small town in south Mississippi and graduated from the University of Mississippi – also known as Ole Miss (go Rebels!). I moved to Nashville, TN in 2011 after getting married to my husband, Chris. We love living in Music City – oddly, not really for the music but because we are total foodies and this town has so many great restaurants. I’m a pup mom to my two-year-old fur baby, Louie, who is a red Cockapoo. I’m a 4th grade teacher by day, blogger by night, and shamelessly addicted to French fries and Instagram. I’m saved by the grace of God, and my faith is very important to me. I believe in being kind and always staying true to yourself.
What made you want to start your blog? For years, I followed other blogs and loved reading them every day. What other people have to say and share can be so uplifting, inspiring, and interesting. Because I’ve always loved to write and have somewhat of a creative side, I finally took a leap of faith to start my own! It takes a lot of courage to put yourself out there, but I decided that blogging was something I wanted to do, and I wasn’t going to let anything stop me.
What is your favorite part of the work involved with the blog? I really enjoy the photography. I have no background in photography, and when I got my first DSLR, I was clueless. I have taught myself along the way- through videos, articles, and practice. I am proud of how far my photos have come since starting the blog, and it’s something I want to continuously improve on. I especially love photographing food!
How would you describe your style? I love classic pieces and anything neutral! You won’t see me wearing bright, bold colors or prints too often. I keep my style pretty simple and love styling items in multiple ways – that’s the best way to get good bang for your buck!
What is your favorite item in your closet right now? I recently bought a simple black jumpsuit from Madewell, and it has quickly become my favorite go-to summer piece. I love that it’s black, and it has the most flattering fit – an fitted elastic waistline and a flowy, loose pant leg. Plus, it can be dressed up or down, which is always a good thing!
What is your favorite beauty product? Mascara! I have short eyelashes that are very boring, so mascara is a lifesaver for me. I’m just fine with wearing no make up out and about – as long as I can put on that mascara.
What is your favorite coffee drink? Vanilla latte – hot or on ice, depending on the weather!
What would you say is the most important quality to have as a fashion blogger? Definitely confidence! You have to learn how to be confident with yourself and not worry about what other people say or think. If you want to share your style, then go for it girl, and do it with confidence!
What was one of your biggest obstacles as a fashion blogger? Developing that confidence! At first, I was scared of sharing photos of myself and worried about what my friends would think. I finally realized that my true friends would support me and that if I wanted my blog to grow, I needed to share what my readers wanted – which was more of my style. The fashion side of my blog has taken off the most and attracted a larger audience, so that’s what I decided to share more of. I developed confidence and became excited about sharing my style with my readers – and I forgot the rest!
What is your guilty pleasure (food wise)? French fries – hands down! It’s the one food I can’t give up and have to order if its on a menu.
How do you juggle between working full time and blogging? I’m going to be honest, it’s hard and it’s something I’m still working on. Teaching is a very demanding job, and some days, the last thing I want to do when I get home is a photo shoot, writing, or editing. I’ve learned though that I thrive on a busy schedule and that blogging is a side hobby that brings me a lot of joy – so I just make time for it. Some weeks are better than others, but overall, I try to fit in blogging as much as I can during the week so that I can enjoy the weekend with my husband and pup!
If you could go back ten years and tell your former self one thing, what would you say? Enjoy the moment! Because I’m such a planner, I tend to always look ahead at what’s next instead of enjoying the now. Ten years ago, I was in college – planning my career and what I was going to do next. Although I really enjoyed my college years, I wish I would have been more in the moment instead of worrying about the future.
What are some of your long term goals with your blog? I really just want it to continue to grow and for me to continue connecting with more bloggers. I didn’t start it to become the next big blogger, or even to make money, but just because I love to write and wanted to share things that others might find interesting. I love hearing from readers and knowing that I’ve inspired someone – whether it’s through an outfit, recipe, or one of my personal posts. I hope that my blog will continue to attract more readers who need a little inspiration.
